Definition of Measurement Accuracy
Measurement accuracy means how closely a measured ingredient amount matches the amount the recipe actually intends. In cooking, it depends on the unit, tool, ingredient, and measuring method.
Accurate measurement is easier when the unit fits the ingredient. Liquids are usually measured well by volume, while baking ingredients are often more reliable by weight.
Accuracy also depends on consistency. A correct method repeated the same way every time is usually more useful than a rough estimate that changes from batch to batch.
